Returns & Refunds policy
Policy Overview
This document outlines the policies for returns, refunds, cancellations, and equipment handling for Speednet Broadband Services ("we," "us," "our"). By subscribing to our services, you agree to these terms.
Service Cancellation
2.1. Customer-Initiated Cancellation
A written notice period is required for cancellation. You may submit your request through your online account portal or via email to our official support address.
If you cancel mid-billing cycle, your service will remain active until the end of that cycle. Refunds for unused days within a prepaid month are not provided.
Cancellation during an initial trial period (if offered) is free of charge, provided all equipment is returned.
2.2. Company-Initiated Termination
We may suspend or terminate service for reasons including non-payment, violation of our Acceptable Use Policy, fraudulent activity, or if service cannot be technically delivered to your location.
Refunds
3.1. Refund Eligibility
Security Deposit: Refundable upon termination of all services, after deducting any outstanding dues and charges for unreturned or damaged equipment.
Advance Payments: For prepaid long-term plans canceled before the term ends, a refund may be issued for the unused period, subject to applicable administrative fees and the forfeiture of any promotional discounts.
Installation/Activation Fees: These are generally non-refundable once service installation has been completed or attempted.
3.2. Non-Refundable Charges
Charges for partial months of service, equipment purchased outright, and government taxes are not refundable.
3.3. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within a standard business period. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method where possible, or by company check.
Equipment Return Policy
4.1. Rented/Provided Equipment
Equipment such as modems or routers provided by Speednet must be returned upon service cancellation.
You are responsible for returning the equipment in good working condition, with all original components (power adapter, cables, etc.). Charges may apply for damaged, modified, or incomplete equipment.
Equipment must be returned within a specified period after service termination.
4.2. Return Process
You may return equipment via a scheduled technician pickup or by dropping it off at a designated Speednet office. A receipt must be obtained as proof of return.
Early Termination Charges
If you cancel your service before the end of a contractual commitment period, an Early Termination Charge (ETC) may apply. The ETC will be detailed in your specific service agreement.
Service Issues & Equipment Faults
6.1. Service Credits
Credits for significant, prolonged service outages may be issued at our discretion and will be applied to future billing statements.
6.2. Faulty Equipment
Equipment found to be defective due to manufacturing faults during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced at no cost. Outside of warranty, standard repair or replacement fees will apply.
